Southbound
There are three options:-

• Leave the M5 at junction 25 – Taunton

• Leave the M5 at junction 28 – Cullompton

• Leave the M5 at junction 30 – Exeter

Westbound
There are two options:-

• The A303

• The A35

For either direction we suggest that you use the first option (M5 junction 25 or A303), as this should be the quickest route and is the one suggested by the AA route planner website.

Directions once in Beer
As you enter Beer on the B3174 (New Road) from Seaton, there is a lay-by on the left hand side, which is the visitor’s parking area. It is opposite some large, white-painted houses and there is a low stone wall on the seaward side of the road. It has a sign which says ‘Focal Research’, but it is easy to miss. There is a path (approx.5 yards) from the lay-by to the office.

If the lay-by is full, please proceed into Beer village by following New Road into Fore Street. Just before the Dolphin Hotel on your right, turn right into Clapps Lane and you will see a large car park about 100 yards on the left.

From the ‘Clapps Lane’ car park, walk back up Fore Street (in the opposite direction to the sea), to the top of the village. When you reach the top of the village you come to “The Cross”, which is a small island with a lamppost, in the middle of the road.

At “The Cross” you will see two roads to the right of you, Long Hill (a no entry street) and at a right angle to Long Hill, you will find Berry Hill. Walk up Berry Hill (approx 50 yards) and to the right, opposite the Social Club building, there is a narrow rough driveway between a house and a high wall.

This path way leads to our offices. The path opens onto a yard, and then continues to the left, where there are a few steps. Go up the steps, and this leads to the main entrance of our offices.
