Social Housing Market Intelligence Databases

Our range of Social Housing Market Intelligence Databases provide you with the latest information on the social housing sector across the UK.  The level of detail contained within these databases means that they can be used equally for sales, marketing, forecasting and strategic business planning purposes.

We have three Database packages and a number of additional Databases and tools available which cover the Social Housing, Education and Private Housebuilding sectors. Below is a brief overview of each package: for more comprehensive information please select from the tabs on the left. To find out exactly how Focal Research can benefit your company, please contact us so that we can review your requirements and recommend which of our databases will be the most appropriate for you.

Main Social Housing Market Intelligence Database

This covers the refurbishment, maintenance and development programmes of all social landlords.  Extensive details are provided for Local Authorities, ALMOs and Housing Associations including housing stock, progress towards the Decent Homes Standard and important details on the Local Authority Self-Financing System.  The database also includes our research into LA, ALMO and HA contract decisions and details on the 2011/12 - 2014/15 Affordable Housing Programme which is set to deliver well over 80,000 new homes.

Main Social Housing Plus Market Intelligence Database

This more comprehensive version of the Main Social Housing Database provides additional information for those clients who need to know more about landlord performance and vacant housing (voids) stock.  The database allows you to evaluate the performance of Local Authorities (LAs), Arms Length Management Organisations (ALMOs) and Housing Associations (HAs) based upon maintenance, repairs and management expenditure, vacant stock information and Regulatory Judgements (HAs only).

Social Housing Summary Market Intelligence Database

This is a smaller and less detailed version of our Main database.  It provides the necessary contacts and housing stock information for LAs, ALMOs and HAs.  It also covers key, top-level details on the Local Authority Self-Financing System and provides summary information on the 2011/12 - 2014/15 Affordable Housing Programme.

Eco-Intelligence Module

Our range of Social Housing Market Intelligence Databases are now available with or without our new Eco-Module.  For further details, please visit our Eco-Intelligence Module page.

Social Housing Builder/Contractors Market Intelligence Database

This provides information on Builder/Contractors who regularly carry out refurbishment, maintenance and new build work in the social housing sector.  Further information on specific contract leads and partnering arrangements with social housing landlords can be sorted either according to the type of contract or the contractor actually carrying out the works.

Contractor/Contract Analysis Tool

Our new Contractor/Contract Analysis Tool enables you to complete a detailed analysis of the Contractors and Contracts let within the Social Housing sector in England, carrying out a review of the overall sector, an individual contractor’s workload or on contract renewal dates.  The Tool allows clients to quickly and easily assess the key organisations operating in the sector and identify opportunities in the Planned Maintenance, Responsive Maintenance, Decent Homes and Gas Servicing fields.

Social Housing Strategy Tool

This very simple push button tool is unlike any of the other databases we produce for the Social Housing sector.  Offering a top-level strategic overview, it facilitates a detailed analysis of your current, planned and future regions which will assist in the effective planning of resources for both sales and marketing activities.

All of the Databases we produce can be used for Strategic Business Planning at board level encompassing Sales, Marketing and Business Development. In addition they all share the following features:

  • Comprehensive, relevant and accurate data that is researched and constantly updated by ourselves to ensure the information our clients see is as current as possible.

  • The ability to be tailored to suit your individual company requirements.  For example, reports and maps can be viewed via your own sales regions and you can add further contacts if required.

  • Fully automated with ‘locked in’ reports that can be pulled off at the touch of a button, enabling even those with the most basic computer skills to use it effectively.

  • Installation on as many machines within your organisation as you wish.  Individuals will need to sign up to our annual User Agreement, gaining access to a Getting Started pack, a unique user name and password and our Support/Helpdesk.

  • As long as each computer running the database has Windows 2000 or more recent versions installed, no other licenses or additional software will be required.

  • 9am – 5pm weekday support/helpdesk (excluding holiday periods) providing assistance with database contents, understanding of terminology, IT/technical queries and use of mailing lists.
